Star of Africa – Added Excitement app for iPhone and iPad

Just like its name says, this application adds an extra level of excitement when playing the traditional Star of Africa board game. The app is used together with the board game, alongside it.

When player turns over a blank piece, horseshoe or gangster on the board game, he or she can try their luck by pressing the same picture in the app.

A card is turned on the screen to explain what happens on the players turn.

A chance is randomly selected from the chances found behind the picture in question.

For example: The player turns a blank piece and wants to spice things up a bit – he presses a blank piece on the app. Luck is on his side – the card reads: Its your lucky day! You get 200 pounds from the bank.

When a player presses a piece on the app, he or she must do what it says. Sometimes, players draw less fortunate chances.

The app also has a die. Losing the die is no longer a reason to call off the game. Not only that, this die wont mess up all the pieces on the board or knock over the men.

The Facebook link will take you to the Peliko website, where you can enter your own suggestions for blanks, horseshoes and gangsters. Your suggestion may very well end up on the app. The skys the limit – use your imagination!

Tip!
If a chance involves longer actions that cant be carried out in a single turn, come up with a way to remind everyone what the player is doing.
